Quality Assured

Wednesday, September 14, 2011

South Fremantle Women’s Football Club has become the first female football club in Australia to achieve Gold accreditation in the Quality Club Program.

When receiving the award at the South Fremantle District dinner last week, SFWFC President Sally Allomes said she was very proud of the achievement.

“It is all due to the time and effort put in by the committee this year,” she said.

Clubs can achieve Bronze, Silver or Gold accreditation in the Quality Club Program, with Gold Accreditation recognising the highest level of commitment to providing a quality club environment for players, spectators, parents, coaches and umpires.

Gold Accreditation also demonstrates a commitment to supporting the club’s local community and the general well being of all players and members.

Club Presidents have reported that the Quality Club Program provides clubs with the opportunity to become more organised and more structured, and ensures all volunteers have an improved understanding of their roles and the future direction of the club.

On achieving the Gold status, the SFWFC joins a select groups of clubs from Western Australia that includes South Perth Junior Football Club, Maddington Junior Football Club, East Fremantle Football Club and Swan Districts Football Club.
