  • Refine a coaching pathway for aspiring Senior Coaches
  • Contribute to developing world class programs for AFL footballers in a world class performance environment.

The Senior Coach is an influential leader in the industry and the content of the program aims to build the necessary skills to best prepare them for the role.

Five core competencies of the AFL Senior Coach Program

The structure of the program comprises four components that are designed to deliver the competencies:

  1. Core Modules
  2. Individual Learning Plan
  3. Management Impact profiling and coaching
  4. Coach mentoring

The Senior Coach Accreditation program will provide:

  • A mandatory level of qualification

  • Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

Completion of the program is expected to take 12 24 months. Final assessment is based on the demonstration of the coaching competencies, through a process of Peer Review.
