Congratulations to Montmorency Junior Football Club Secretary Sue Clarke on winning the inaugural AFL Victoria /AFCA Outstanding Contribution to Football Award (Female) at the Northern Region Awards.
Sue was announced as the recipient of the award at a gala presentation in front of over 300 football dignitaries and presented with the highest honor that can be bestowed upon any individual who is involved with community Australian football.
Sue is an outstanding individual and represents herself, her family, the Club, the Northern Football League and Australian football with distinction and honor at all times.
The entire Montmorency Football Community congratulates Sue Clarke on this outstanding award.
When Sue’s multitude of achievements were listed on the three big presentation screens there was a great feeling of admiration for what she has done and how significant her contribution has been to the unprecedented growth and prosperity of the Montmorency Junior Football Club.
A snap shot of things that have happened as a result of Sue Clarke include:
Sue has been Secretary for four years and a Team Manager for five.
This is really just the tip of the iceberg as there is hardly a single task that Sue has not performed (always with outstanding skill and dedication) over her many years at the Club.
From goal umpire to cutting the oranges, Sue has done it all.
In 2009, Sue was the Club Representative at the 2009 program of Fair Game- Respect Matters (for Women in Footy.) The skills that Sue acquired in this program have been implanted with great success at Magpieland ever since.
