Melbourne F.C Community Programs

Monday, March 24, 2014

It’s been a busy start to year for the Melbourne Football Club with community camps in both Leongatha and Alice Springs.  A highlight of the camp was the visit to Yipirinya primary in Alice Springs, here players actively promoted the Trachoma initiative and the key health message of “Clean Faces, Strong Eyes.”

A leadership forum hosted by Brad Miller, Jack Viney and Jay-Kennedy Harris received excellent reviews in Leongatha with the panel sharing with the year 9 students the message that you don’t need a tile to lead. Described by a student as ‘interesting and helpful’, Miller, Viney and Kennedy-Harris drew on their own experiences to provide real-life examples to the students.
