The Woolworth’s AFL School Ambassador of the Year recognises and rewards at least one AFLSA from each state and territory for their outstanding contribution to Australian football in schools throughout the year.
The recipients of the award travelled to Melbourne and were hosted at the official AFL Function at the Elimination Final (Adelaide Crows v Western Bulldogs at the MCG).
In addition, each AFLSA of the Year received a commemorative trophy, Great Images of AFL book, Sherrin football signed by Trent Cotchin – AFL Schools Program Ambassador, group photograph and a tour of AFL House which included guest speaker Nathan Brown from Collingwood F.C.
