NT AFL School Ambassadors

Thursday, March 22, 2012

AFL Northern Territory recently held professional development days for their School Ambassadors.

Approximately 40 AFLSA attended the sessions in Alice Springs & Darwin and were provided with many opportunities for their respective school and students to engage in AFL.

School ambassadors were presented by CEO, Tony Frawley with an overview of the recent participation growth across the Northern Territory and an outline of the AFNT strategy for the future, including the proposed Michael Long Learning & Leadership centre.

Game Development staff presented throughout the day on the vast range of AFL programs available to them. These programs included competitions and gala days, as well in class activities such as AFL Quiz, Dream Team & Footy Tipping.

Additionally, teachers were provided with an in depth discussion regarding resources available to them via the Learning Management System as well as testimony from Cam Carmichael (Wulagi PS) regarding his experiences as an AFLSA and the many benefits his school have gained via the AFLSA program.

AFLNT would like to that thank the AFL School Ambassadors that took the time out from busy schedules to attend the days and for continued support.
