Victoria Metro has booked its spot in Youth Girls National Championship decider with a 74-point win over South Australia/Northern Territory tonight.

After a low-scoring first half, Vic Metro put their foot down in the second, running out winners 10.14 (74) to SA/NT 0.0 (0)

Midfielder Brittany Bonnici was the standout with a cracking game in the midfidler while impressive medium-sized forward Alex Quigley bagged three goals.

Rebecca Privitelli (2 goals) was another star, with her 40m set shot after a strong mark, one of the highlights of the match.

SA/NT never gave up with the Alexandra Price, Kimberly Hunter and Ellie Kellock among their best, but Vic Metro had winners all over the field.

Across half back Rebecca Dardengo was outstanding with her run and carry, while smalls Emily Smith and Courtney Musico both had their best games of the tournament.

Vic Metro co-captain Ellie Blackburn started the game at full back but ignited the contest when moved forward in the third term. She booted two goals before being rested in the last.

Ruckman Louise Stephenson and Isabel Huntington also shone in patches, hitting form before tomorrow’s grand final against Western Australia.

The Youth Girls National title will be decided at 5.20pm with both WA and Vic Metro confident of their chances.

SA/NT take on NSW/ACT in what will be a spirited battle for fifth spot.
