Tayla Harris has represented Queensland twice in interstate footy and been selected for the Youth Girls All Australian team yet she is only 14 years of age.
A tall agile player with a great leap and clean hands she is looking forward to training with the most talented female footballers in Australia.
"I want to continue to grow as a footballer and be the greatest footballer I can be," Tayla said, "while representing women in AFL by being a role model for younger girls in the sport."
Harris wants to model herself on the player she most admires, Simon Black.
"His hard work and skill as a midfielder makes him such a great team player," Harris commented.
With the support of her family who take her to all her trainings and games, she is sure to give back to the game.
Harris confessed she's a bit overwhelmed by the possibility of playing on the MCG.
"Even though it's only an AFL 9s game I am privileged and I will make the most of every minute."
